The Flete Races are one of the biggest followed and attended in the South West Point-To-Point calendar.
Its a great day out for the whole family and the horses are beautiful too!
The two point to point race days at Flete draw some of the biggest crowds of horses and spectators in the South West point to point calendar. They provide an exceptional day both for racing enthusiasts, and families wishing to enjoy a spring Saturday out in the country.
As well as six or seven races to enjoy, there are a number of stalls selling country clothing, dog accessories, jewellery and local handicrafts, as well as a hog roast, beer tent, pizzas and doughnut stall. In addition, many people choose to entertain family and friends with huge picnics accompanied by strawberries and bubbly.
The point to point also provides an opportunity for a light-hearted flutter with one of the bookies located near the paddock. Between races, people can take the opportunity to explore the beautiful landscape of Flete Park, and helpful stewards are on hand to ensure everyone’s safety.
Well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are kept under control off the course during races.
