Modbury says ‘No’ to
Plastic Bags |

On 1st May 2007, Modbury became the first 'no
plastic bags' town in Britain.
Instead of
offering the usual non-biodegradable plastic bags,
all 43 traders and shopkeepers are now encouraging
their customers to use large re-usable cotton and
jute bags, smaller 100% biodegradable cornstarch
bags or recyclable paper bags. |
