Personally run by Karen and her Chef husband Tony, the small and intimate First and Last Bistro in Ermington is one of the treasures of the South Hams.

Tony keeps a sharp eye out for the best in local produce to provide a varied and exciting fixed-price menu, usually at £16.00 for 2 courses and £19.50 for 3 courses, which is complemented by an excellent wine list.

Such is the appeal of the First and Last, that it has a strong local following as well as customers who travel many miles to enjoy a relaxed evening or Sunday lunch with superb food.

It does get busy, particularly at weekends, so it's very advisable to book in advance.
